Sesquicentennial Celebration Tree Planting Program

Sesquicentennial Celebration

These are a series of caliper Tree Planting Projects designed to provide communities with an opportunity to celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday with long-lasting community enhancement and participation opportunities that benefit the environment as well.  Each project consists of one or more 150 tree blocks.

These projects are public-private partnerships with municipalities providing the land and a portion of the costs and the private sector providing the balance of the funds required and the volunteers to implement the project.

This type of project can also be adapted as landscape enhancement program for large private enterprises seeking to improve their properties, enhance the environment through tree planting, and providing their employees and their families with an opportunity to participate.
